Rag Bag Collection

The school Eco Group are collecting unwanted clothes for charity. By doing this your not only helping people who are less fortunate than us but you are also helping our school and the environment around us. Some clothes will be recycled and some will go to people in need of them.

Please have a good clear out and donate any unwanted items, please check that all the items are dry and clean (list of accepted items below) and drop off at the school office any time on or before 1st February 2017

  • Cushions
  • Duvets
  • Carpets
  • Rugs

They do accept :-

  • Paired shoes
  • Handbags
  • Wallets
  • Ties

Child Protection Guidelines

Procedures and guidance cannot in themselves protect children; a competent, skilled and confident workforce, together with a vigilant public, can. Child protection is a complex system requiring the interaction of services, the public, children and families. For the system to work effectively, it is essential that everyone understands
the contribution they can make and how those contributions work together to provide the best outcomes for children. Everyone working with children and their families, including social workers, health professionals, police, educational staff, voluntary
organisations and the third sector, as well as members of the community, need to appreciate the important role they can play in remaining vigilant and providing robust support for child protection. Guidance provides the framework for that understanding.
It enables managers and practitioners to apply their skills collectively and effectively and to develop a shared understanding of their common objective – to promote, support and safeguard the wellbeing of all children, including those who are most vulnerable. Assessment Information – Parent Guide

The National Improvement Framework has been introduced to provide better information about how children and young people are progressing and how well schools, councils and the Scottish Government are supporting their learning. That information will help teachers and others who work to support children and young people to understand where improvement is needed. It will also help schools, councils and national government to see which learning, teaching and assessment approaches are working well, and where changes need to be made.
