S2 into S3 Course Choice

At the S2 Parents’ Information Evening on 13 December, parents were given a Powerpoint presentation on the S3 curriculum design for Dyce Academy.  We were delighted with the high turnout and have now had a chance to consider and respond to your questions.  As promised, we have provided you with a copy of the presentation and a copy of a letter to all parents and carers from David Leng, Head of Schools and Education Establishments.

Dyce Academy is adhering to Scottish Government guidelines on the delivery of the new Scottish Curriculum. We are offering a broad, general education up to the end of S3. Within the curriculum there is the opportunity for personalisation and choice. Our S2 into S3 Choice sheet provides a programme which will be challenging and enjoyable and, importantly, appropriate to your child’s needs.

Please remember that you are welcome to contact the school about any issues relating to your child’s education at the academy.

In February you will receive your child’s report. On 1 March there will be another information Evening to take you through the choice process and there will be an opportunity to discuss progress with your child’s class teacher on 6 March.
