Following on from the very successful event we held in school on New Psychoactive Substances for S2 pupils, Drugs Action have organised the following event for Parents and Carers.

Awareness Event
If you are a parent/carer and you would like some more information on New Psychoactive Substances aka ‘Legal Highs’ come along to Pittodrie Stadium on Wednesday 27th May 7-9.30pm. There will be speakers from Drugs Action, Police Scotland, Aberdeen Alcohol & Drugs Partnership and a family member is going to be sharing their experience. We will be looking at ‘What are New Psychoactive Substances’, how to speak to young people, the legal perspective and the present policy and legislation. This event is also open to Academy age young people if accompanied by their parent/carer.
RGU Streetsports will be providing free football sessions for 10-16 year olds which will be running at the same time as the awareness event.

SQA Exams – Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 May
The SQA have issued the following information regarding the potential rail strike on Monday and Tuesday next week –
As you will be aware, there is the possibility of a national rail strike on Monday 25 May and Tuesday 26 May by members of the RMT Union who work for Network Rail.
Please be assured that the exams on these days will go ahead.
Please ensure your candidates are aware of the potential travel disruption and allow extra time for their journey to arrive punctually for their exams.
