Twenty nine S4 Pupils successfully completed their second Bronze DofE Award Expedition over the weekend. This was another overnight expedition lasting Saturday into Sunday and all participants acquitted themselves well. The weather was kind and the scenery of the Balmoral Estate stunning, especially with the heather in full bloom. Well done to all who took part.
ASN Parents’ Forum – Thursday 17 September
The ASN Parents’ Forum meets 4 times each school year. Meetings will be alternated between evenings and afternoons. The meetings are an opportunity for parents and carers of children with additional support needs to come along and meet other parents and carers, as well as educational professionals. The next meeting will be at Hazelwood School, Fernielea Road, Aberdeen AB15 6GU at 7.00 pm on Thursday 17 September.

Dyce Academy Parent Council
Please Join us…
Hopefully you are aware that as a parent or carer of a pupil at Dyce Academy you are automatically a member of the parent forum and are welcome to attend meetings of the parent council, the elected group of parents who meet once per term to identify and represent the views of all the parents and carers. It’s a great way to learn about how the Academy runs and the issues which affect your child on a day to day basis. The Parent Council meetings are attended by the elected members, Lesley Adam, our Headteacher, members of staff who represent staff views, the senior student team who represent our pupils’ views, any of our local Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire councillors and any members of the parent forum who wish to come along. Minutes will be posted on the Academy website in our Parent Council Section along with the date for our next meeting.
It would be great to see some new faces so please do join us if you can. The next meeting is on Tuesday 25th August at 7p.m.
