Grays School of Art Degree Show 2017
Open from Saturday 17th June to Saturday 24th June. Art and Design courses exhibiting are: Design, Commercial Photography, Communication Design, Fashion and textiles, Three Dimensional, Fine Art Painting and Contemporary Art Practice.
There are also a number of activities that are happening during Degree Show week, some of which require advanced booking. If you are interested in any of the workshops please contact Angie Aitchison on a.aitchison3@rgu.ac.uk.

Are you in S5/6 and interested in a career as an Occupational Therapist?
If so you may want to sign up for this event “ A Day in the Life of an Occupational Therapist” 5th September 2017 from 9am-3.30pm at Robert Gordon University, school of Health, Garthdee Campus, Aberdeen.
The workshop aims to:
  • Educate the participants about what occupational therapists do in their daily work
  • Help the participants understand the skills involved in being an occupational therapist.
  • Introduce participants to the diversity of areas Occupational Therapists can work in.
  • Inform the participants about what is involved in the degree course.
Provide the participants with the opportunity to experience a taster day at RGU.

‘I Can Lead’ Course

Active Schools will be running a FREE 3 Day course to develop new senior pupil volunteers within Aberdeen. The ‘I Can Lead’ course has been designed by Sports Leaders UK as an introduction to leadership that will give learners the knowledge and skills to assist in leading basic sports/activity sessions under direct supervision.

Age: Age 14 +

Date: Wed 5th– Fri 7th July

Time: Wed- Thurs: 09:30-15:30, Fri: 09:30-13:30

Location: Dyce Academy Games Hall

Dress: standard P.E./sports kit and bring along lunch and a drink.

S5-6 Induction – Friday 2 June 2017

An Induction morning for those returning to school for S5-6 will be held on Friday 2 June 2017 starting at 8.45 am in the MPA.

During the morning timetables will be issued and information given on expectations of S5-6 students.  Also there will be information given on the various opportunities for S5-6 to become involved in wider school activities.

All students returning for S5-6 must attend on Friday.  Full school uniform should be worn and pen brought to the event.

Students who are taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh expedition next weekend, may collect their timetables from Mrs Jamieson from Thursday.

Are you aged 16 or over? Then it’s time to get #ReadyToVote

Get #ReadyToVote 16 and 17 year olds can vote in the 2017 Scottish council elections. This means that if you’re 16 or over on 4 May 2017, you’ll be able to vote – but you need to register first. It only takes a few minutes to register online. On Monday 27th March we will be helping 16 and 17 year olds get #ReadyToVote by running a registration event in room 215 during P5&6 (full details of timings are in the bulletin). This is your opportunity to join the 80,000 16 and 17 year olds who registered to vote in the last election. If you’re 16 or over you’ll need your date of birth and National Insurance number to register to vote. If you can’t find your national insurance number, visit: gov.uk/lost-national-insurance-number. (If you’re not yet 16 you won’t need your National Insurance number to register)
