The Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA) is a payment of £30 per week, paid directly into a student’s bank account, if they stay on in school, college or in home-education after their official school leaving date. Students born between 1 March 1998 and 28 February 2002 may be eligible for an EMA if their household income is below £26,844. Further information can be found in this leaflet – EMA Information Leaflet. Application Forms are available from the school office.

Dyce Bikes
We have just received 8 bikes as part of our journey towards being a Cycle Friendly School. Some intrepid staff took them out on their maiden journey at lunchtime on the in-service day, to ensure they were all working properly. The scenic and traffic-free route took us along the river Don to Stoneywood House and the Mill Pond.
Community Support for Our Learners
Last term we were approached by Dyce Bingo, our community bingo club, with an offer to donate money to help us support our most vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils. Today, Audrey and Catherine visited the academy, on behalf of Dyce Bingo, and presented a cheque for £300 to the SFL department.
Two of our pupils accepted the cheque on behalf of the Academy. The money will be spent to support our various projects, including Living for Sport, creative crafts, gardening, and help improve our ICT provision.
