Moving On! Youth Recruitment Event

Following the success of previous years, the Moving On! Youth Recruitment Event returns for 2019! Delivered in partnership by Aberdeen City Council, Skills Development Scotland and the Department for Work and Pensions, this event attracts employers and training providers from a variety of sectors providing young people with a fantastic opportunity to consider their future.

Targeted at young people aged 16-25, this event has something for everyone, whether they are interested in further study, accessing training, gaining employment or a combination of these options, there will be a range of live opportunities to explore. For those in need of some inspiration, or tips in how to shine in their applications, personal statements or interviews, support will be at hand from SDS & DWP advisors as well as our knowledgeable exhibitors.

Foundation Apprenticeship Events – NESCol – February 2019

NESCol are holding 2 awareness raising events for Foundation Apprenticeships at the two city campuses.  These events are for pupils and parents who are interested in Foundation Apprenticeships for the 2019 intake.  The pupils will have a chance to speak to Faculty staff members and current apprentices to find out more about the qualifications.  They will also have the opportunity to see the facilities at the college.

Information about the Foundation Apprenticeships being offered in the college along with the days and times they are scheduled to run is below.  There are some courses where the days and times are still to be confirmed.  Please be aware that these times are subject to change and courses will only run if there are sufficient applicants.

Applying for a Primary or Secondary School Place

The applications process for primary and secondary school places is changing. To make it easier to apply, Aberdeen City Council are introducing online applications for children starting or moving schools in 2019.

Congratulations to Mr Naples-Campbell

Dyce Academy is very proud to share that Mr Naples-Campbell, Faculty Head Expressive Arts has been named as one of the Top 10 Educators in Scotland by TES.

Mr Naples-Campbell has been recognised for highlighting several issues this year including the #MeToo movement in education and the importance of Arts in a child’s education.
