DYW Partnerships – TECA and Clydesdale Bank

Today we signed our second DYW Partnership for the school.  Mrs Adam and Gary Venerus, Area Manager Clydesdale Bank signed an agreement setting out how the school and bank can work together to help our young people gain the skills required for the world of work.

We already have a DYW partnership with TECA and are seeing fantastic benefits of this with visits to P&J Live, work experience placements and interview experiences already taking place.

 

SQA Your Coursework 2019-20

All students undertaking SQA qualfications this year are currently being issued with a copy of the SQA “Your Coursework” booklet.

It is vital that pupils and parents are aware of the advice that this booklet provides to candidates on the production of coursework materials.  The booklet contains essential information and rules that candidate must read when producing work that will be submitted for marking.  The information has been updated and must be read by all candidates – even those who have submitted coursework in previous years.

Rag Bag Bank

Dyce Academy now offers textile recycling in the form of our Rag Bag bank.

This outdoor recycling bank is situated next to ACMS boarding near the Dyce Academy car park. For any wearable clothing, paired shoes, handbags or belts recycled in the rag bag bank, the school will be given a small amount of funding for activities.

This initiative increases awareness of textile recycling and by increasing recycling rates, we can help the environment by ensuring less material goes to landfill.
