The letter below has been sent to all Parents/Carers today regarding the wearing of face coverings in classes for Senior Phase (S4-6) pupils if Aberdeen City remains in Level 3 of Scottish Government COVID protection levels on our return on 5 January.
Dyce Community Food Drive – Update
From Monday 30 November until Friday 11 December we collected a variety of items as part of our food drive to support the Dyce community. This photograph shows the results of our efforts.
The S3 Business Information Technology class helped to organise this. Here is their report –
The BIT class were tasked with collecting donations for the local community. Firstly, pupils created an eye-catching poster which was placed around the school to remind staff and pupils about the event. Next, pupils distributed boxes to each registration class so pupils could bring in donated items to school.
Over a 2 week period, Dyce Academy were lucky enough to fill up all of the registration boxes. One pupil says “It was a good experience which will make a lot of people happy.” Another pupils says “It is nice to see that so many peopl can help each other out during a difficult year.” We were also fortunate to receive a donation from Asda in Dyce. Overall, the class were blown away by the generosity of staff, pupils and the school community.
NHS Grampian Schools COVID Letter
The letter below is being sent to all parents today. It contains information from NHS Grampian Public Health Directorate on the relaxation of the public health guidelines over Christmas.
ACMS Player of the Year 2020
