Developing Young Workforce Survey

Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) are looking to shape up their 2021 employer-led ‘Scotland’s Biggest Parents Events’ to highlight current and future jobs and pathways and would really appreciate the views of parents, carers and guardians to ensure they deliver information and insight that is helpful and hits the key topics you would like to hear about.  They are asking for 2 minutes of your time through a short survey to help them get this right for you.

Please find the survey here: DYW – Scotland’s Biggest Parent’s Event 2021 Survey (surveymonkey.co.uk)

The deadline for survey completion is Friday 4th June

You can check out last year’s focus HERE and keep an eye on the DYW Scotland website for updates for this year’s event.

S4, S5, S6 What Next? Free Virtual Event

On Thursday 18 March from 6.30-7.30 pm DYW North East (Developing the Young Workforce) will be holding a free virtual event for parents/carers and young people to highlight the range of pathways on offer in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Senior phase pupils (S4-S6) will be preparing for their next steps, whether that is to stay in education or to enter the world of work. It can be a confusing landscape and as a parent or carer, you have a leading role when your child is making decisions about their career.

The free information session will help inform you about the wide range of pathways available to young people and support them on their journey beyond school.

Hear from the following local employers and further/higher education providers who have experience in supporting young people into the workplace in a variety of different pathways.

  • Skills Development Scotland
  • Bon Accord Care
  • Balfour Beatty
  • NESCol
  • RGU
  • Tullos Training
