NESCOL/Shell Schools Technology Challenge

This week the S2 pupils have taken part in the NESCOL/Shell Energy competition in which they had to problem solve their way through a series of tasks in Science. The winners of each class then went into a play off at the end of the week to represent Dyce Academy in the City Finals. Well done to all the pupils as the standard this year was extremely high and a big congratulations to those who made it through to the Finals!

Build Your Future 2021

On Monday 6 December, 9 Dyce Academy pupils from S2 competed against Ellon Academy and Banchory Academy in the first heat of the Build Your Future Challenge 2021. They worked as a team to complete three tasks that were provided by the competition’s sponsors KR Group, RGU Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Safety Scotland. They were unfortunate not to win the heat with Ellon Academy coming out on top. The pupils enjoyed the experience and gained in an insight into what potential careers are available to them in the building industry.
