A huge thank you to everyone who helped to market and sell the 90 kg of Malawian rice on Activities Day.
This morning we sold the last 4 kg this means that within 10 days we managed to sell enough rice to send a pupil to secondary school in Malawi for one year.
Very many thanks go to all parents, pupils, staff and friends of the school who supported us by buying rice.
We are doing the 90 kg challenge again. This involves selling 90 kg of Kilombero rice: this is the amount of rice a farmer in Malawi needs to sell each year to send his/her child to secondary school.
Kilombero rice is very versatile (it can be used for savoury and sweet dishes), and it is easy and quick to cook.
