Scottish Schools Adolescent Lifestyle and Substance Use Survey

Some of our pupils have been randomly selected to take part in SALSUS 2013. SALSUS is the Scottish Government’s main source of information on alcohol, drug and tobacco use among Scotland’s young people and has been running since 1982.

While we feel participation is important, and the results of previous waves of the survey have helped planning and developing services aimed at reducing smoking, drinking and drug use among young people in Scotland, you can request that your child does not take part in the survey.

The selected pupils will be given an information letter home which should only be returned if parent/guardians do not want their child to take part.
